(4). В предложениях, утвердительных по форме, но подразумевающих отрицание, обычно после предлога without, наречий типа hardly и глаголов типа to prevent, to miss, прилагательное any соответствует русским всякий, какой бы то ни было:without any doubt — вне всякого сомнения;
We found the house without any difficulty — Мы нашли этот дом без всякого затруднения.

(5). Прилагательное any не употребляется с существительными, если этим существительным предшествуют другие определители (указательные и притяжательные местоимения, артикль). Прилагательное any не употребляется также с личными местоимениями.
